Line Drawings

Recently, I've gotten into drawing. In the past I used to doodle abstract stuff, but lately I'vted to mix my abstract style with more representational depictions. I started out with a cat (*meow*). Last night I made a human form and I'm pretty happy with it. May revisit it since, I mean, I didn't do any preliminary sketches. Basically what you see is what I doodled. I should revisit more of my doodles to flesh them out. These were done on 11x17 with sharpie.

I have become so far behind in looking through photos I took. I'm just now getting to October 9th photos of a gorge in Erie, PA. Although I have tons to look through, here's a sampling of whta I have thus far.

2 days ago I watched a very well-done documentary following the life of unconventional artist and "hooligan" Ai Weiwei. The documentary, called "Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry", shows the oppression of the Chinese police on artistic expression as well as other societal issues. I was captivated by the strength as well as the message. Ai Weiwei and I share the same desire to bring about social justice through artistic protests.
